Markranstaedt Kinderfest has a long tradition. The Kinderfest is being celebrated the weekend before the start of the summer school holidays. Every year there is a festive show programme on Friday, a torchlight procession on Saturday and a colourful school procession (mostly younger school children) on Sunday. Every year there´s a new motto. The school children dress up in the spirit of the chosen motto. Carriages are being decorated with much love for detail. There is also a fairground and a gigantic fireworks on Sunday evening. The photos show the 136th Kinderfest.
